Last updated August 27, 2026. This notice covers this website. Data you put into the ēosIQ platform or the Akademia community is governed by the Service Terms and any data processing addendum.
Who we are
For Purpose OS is operated by Nonprofit Counsel, Inc., a Delaware public benefit corporation, with offices at 213 S 2nd Street, Laramie, WY 82070. Questions about this notice can go to info@wepowerpurpose.com or legal@nonprofitcounsel.com.
What we collect
Information you give us. When you submit the contact form, we collect your name, email address, the organization you name, the topic you select, and your message. When you ask to be notified about new tools, we collect your email address. Nothing on this site requires you to give us more than that.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, this one records technical information when you visit: pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, referring website, browser and device type, and how long you stay. We use Google Analytics for this.
We do not ask for payment information on this site. Subscriptions and course purchases are completed on the ēosIQ and Akademia platforms, which have their own terms.
How we use it
We use what you give us to answer your question, to send the emails you asked for, and to keep a record of the conversation. We use the automatic information to understand which pages are useful, where visitors come from, and what to improve. We also use it to meet legal and tax obligations, and to protect the site against abuse.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with advertisers. If California law applies to you, we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined in the California Consumer Privacy Act.
Marketing email
If you ask to hear about new tools, we will email you when they launch, and we may also send other updates about For Purpose OS. Every marketing email includes a way to unsubscribe, and unsubscribing takes effect on all marketing email from us. We will still reply to a message you send us, because that is a direct response to your request rather than marketing.
Cookies and analytics
Google Analytics sets cookies to tell repeat visits apart from new ones and to group visits into sessions. Analytics data is retained for 14 months and then deleted. You can block these cookies in your browser settings, or install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, and the site will work normally either way.
We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking pixels on this site.
Who processes data for us
We use a small number of service providers, each of which processes data only to provide their service to us:
- Netlify hosts this website
- Google Analytics processes website usage data
- HubSpot provides the forms on this site, receives what you submit, stores contact records, and sends email
If we add a service provider that changes what happens to your information, we will update this notice.
Your documents in ēosIQ
Documents and questions you put into ēosIQ are not used to train AI models, and they are not shared with other customers. That commitment is part of the Service Terms, which govern the platform rather than this website.
How long we keep things
Form submissions and contact records are kept while the relationship is active and for as long as we need them for legal, tax, or record-keeping purposes. Analytics data is kept for 14 months. If you ask us to delete your information and we have no obligation to keep it, we will.
Your rights
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, and ask us to stop sending you email. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights, including the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them. Email legal@nonprofitcounsel.com and we will respond within the time the applicable law allows.
Children
This site is built for people running organizations. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.
Links to other sites
This site links to For Purpose Law Group, For Purpose Accounting, Nonprofit Counsel, and the platforms where subscriptions are purchased. Those are separate sites with their own privacy practices, and this notice does not cover them.
Changes to this notice
If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes will be announced by email to anyone on our list.
